When litigation becomes necessary, our employment litigation practice has the extensive expertise necessary to successfully defend our clients in employment-related lawsuits through the law and motion, trial, and appeal process.

The firm represents public entities in employment litigation, including claims of harassment, retaliatory discharge, and discrimination under California Fair Employment and Housing Act, and Title VII.  We represent governing boards of public entities in employment matters premised on alleged violations of civil rights, including claims of substantive and procedural due process violations. Our scope of work includes representation of the employing agency during Skelly hearings and name-clearing hearings. We advise private and public employers on wage and hour laws, and represent employers in hearings before the Labor Commissioner regarding alleged violations of wage and labor laws.
