DALEY & HEFT PARTNER LEE H. ROISTACHER TO RECEIVE AMICUS SERVICE AWARD FROM INTERNATIONAL MUNICIPAL LAWYERS ASSOCIATION

On March 29, 2019, the International Municipal Lawyers Association (IMLA) will be awarding Daley & Heft partner Lee H. Roistacher with an IMLA Amicus Service Award at an awards ceremony held during IMLA’s mid-year seminar in Washington, D.C.  Roistacher is receiving the award for his service to the IMLA Legal Advocacy program for authoring amicus briefs before the Supreme Court in City of Newport Beach v. Vos and before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in Nehad v. Zimmerman.
 
The International Municipal Lawyers Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the interests and education of local government lawyers.

IMLA champions the development of fair and realistic legal solutions, and assists members on the vast and cutting edge legal issues facing local government lawyers today.  IMLA’s Legal Advocacy program works with some of the nation’s most outstanding appellate advocates, and IMLA files several dozen amicus briefs each year on behalf of its members.  Through the Amicus Service Award, IMLA seeks to recognize the lawyers who have been actively involved in legal advocacy for and on behalf of local governments and IMLA, and who have done exemplary work to protect and advance local government interests.
 
Roistacher is a certified appellate specialist by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization and heads the firms appellate practice group.  Roistacher focuses his practice in appellate and trial law representing State and local government entities.  He has successfully represented clients before the California Supreme Court, California Courts of Appeal, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
