Daley & Heft Partner Scott Noya represented the sellers of approximately 150 acres of desert property located on State Route 78 in the town of Glamis, California.
The firm’s client, a family estate and trusts, owned the Glamis property for decades.
Glamis, an unincorporated community in Imperial County, is one of a series of former Southern Pacific railroad stops along the eastern edge of the Algodones Dunes. The “Glamis Dunes” area is popular with off-road enthusiasts visiting the Southern California desert and the Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area.
Glamis is famously known as the “Sand Toy Capital of the World.”
The transaction included sale of the “Glamis Beach Store” property, vendor sales site, camping areas, recreational vehicle storage site and gas pumps on the north side of State Route 78, garages, living quarters, restaurant building, billboard, water wells, multiple generators and other equipment used in the business operations. The unique and beautiful desert property includes an antenna tower site leased to cell phone service providers.
The multi-million-dollar transaction closed in February 2018.
